Fire victims can apply for federal, state and local assistance at the following locations:

Los Angeles County

Orange County

San Bernardino County

• Orange Show Fairgrounds, Dome Building, 689 South E St., San Bernardino 92408. The center will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.

San Diego County

• Rancho Bernardo-Glassman Recreation Center, 18448 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego 92127. The center will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
• Cuyamaca College, 900 Rancho San Diego Parkway, El Cajon 92109

Precautions

Residents returning to their homes after the fires are urged to use caution when cleaning ash and debris.

Fire debris may include sharp edges, nails or other objects capable of causing injuries. When going through fire debris, wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long-sleeved shirts. Leather work gloves and eye protection are also recommended.
